General Requirements:
Ohio Appraisal Continuing Education
Licensed or certified appraisers and registered appraisal assistants in the State of Ohio must complete 14 hours of continuing education within the one-year period immediately following the issuance of their initial certificate or license and every year thereafter.
Required Courses
At least once in the succeeding 2-year cycle and each 2-year cycle thereafter, seven of the 14 hours must be a National USPAP Update course.
Course Options
14 hours of continuing education can be completed online or in the classroom.
Please note: The 7 hour USPAP Update course must be completed in the classroom.
California Appraisal Continuing Education
Licensed or certified appraisers and registered appraisal assistants in the State of California must complete 14 hours of continuing education within the one-year period immediately following the issuance of their initial certificate or license and every year thereafter.

Kentucky Appraisal Continuing Education
Kentucky Appraisers are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education every 12 months including the 7 hour National USPAP Update course or Equivalent. The National USPAP course must be completed between January 1st and June 30th of each even number of years. Credit for repeating the same course title and content within a twenty-four month (24) period shall not be granted.
Montana Appraisal Continuing Education
All appraiser licenses expire annually on March 31st. Every other renewal, appraisers must complete 28 hours of continuing education courses. 7 of those hours must cover the USPAP Update course.
