Ohio Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements

Real Estate agents in the State of Ohio are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every three years based on the licensee's birth date. Agents are required to complete the R-109 form and send it in to the Division of Real Estate along with copies of all CE certificates prior to their due date.

Required Courses

Nine of the 30-hour requirement must be met through the three state required courses in Canons of Ethics, Core Law Update (or Agency) and Civil Rights Update. The remaining 21 credit hours may be electives comprised of Division approved courses.

Course Options

You are able to take your courses in the Classroom or Online. No final exam is required for online courses.

Note: Attendance in real estate continuing education classes is mandated by the State of Ohio. Arriving late will prevent you from receiving credit for the course you are attending.
