Tuition & Payment Policies
Tuition & Fees
All fees and charges are subject to change without prior notice. Hondros College requires payment of all tuition, textbooks and fees in full at the time of registration. Payment can be made by cash, check, charge, and/or through one of our Tuition Assistance Programs. If payment is to be made by a third party (other than student), all documentation must be received by Hondros College 3 days in advance of the class start date.
Registration Fee
In addition to the tuition fee, a $40 fee will apply to any registration taken less than 3 days prior to the class start date.
Returned Check Fee
All returned checks are subject to a $30 returned check fee. This fee is in addition to any fees charged by your bank or financial institution.
Financial Assistance Processing Fees: $75
Attendance & Course Completion Policies
To ensure the best learning experience, students are encouraged to complete all courses as they are scheduled at the time of registration.
Single Subject Students:
Scheduling Flexibility Policy
A student may take up to 12 months from initial date of registration (24 months for the Appraisal Career Start Package) to complete a course or multi-course "package" for which the student registered.
Audit Policy
Hondros College package students may audit any specific course or courses within their package one time within a 12 month period from the initial date of registration if space is available. (24 months for the Appraisal Packages). If a student wishes to retake a course or courses within their package after they have audited one time at no charge, student is subject to pay full price for course or courses. No certificates are given to audit students. All Crammer students (package and non-package) may audit the crammer courses up to three times.
Multiple Credit Certificates
Hondros College may award certificates for both
pre-certification and/or continuing education credit for any single course if applicable for an additional $90 fee. The student must request the need for multiple credit certificates at the time of registration.
Degree Seeking Students
Degree seeking students who complete an enrollment agreement or application should refer to the Degree catalog for attendance and course completion policies.
Refund Policies
Single Subject Students:
Refunds requested for classroom courses will be processed in the following way:
- Student registers, pays, and does not start class: Refunds requested in writing within sixty (60) days of the purchase date will be processed minus the $40 processing fee if the classroom course has not been started. No refund will be issued after 60 days, but student may complete the class for up to 1 year if no refund has been issued. No prior credit (money or attendance) will be issued to the student if they re-register at a later time.
- Student registers, pays, and starts class: Refunds requested in writing within sixty (60) days of the purchase date will be processed based on a pro-rated amount minus the $40 processing fee. No refund will be issued after 60 days, but student may complete the class for up to 1 year if no refund has been issued. No prior credit (money or attendance) will be issued to the student if they re-enroll at a later time.
Refund Calculations:
- A student who starts class and officially withdraws during the first calendar week of the period shall be obligated for twenty-five percent of the tuition for that period, plus a processing fee.
- A student who officially withdraws during the second calendar week of the period shall be obligated for fifty percent of the tuition for that period, plus a processing fee.
- A student who officially withdraws during the third calendar week of the period shall be obligated for seventy-five percent of the tuition for that period, plus a processing fee.
- A student who officially withdraws beginning with the fourth calendar week of the period will not be entitled to a refund of any portion of the tuition.
- After school determines that a student has withdrawn, credit card refunds will be credited to the card used to make the purchase within 3 days; cash or check purchases within 30 days.
- One-tenth of total classroom hours offered in each course shall be construed as one calendar week.
- No prior credit (money or attendance) will be issued to the student if the student receives a refund and then re-enroll at a later time.
Degree Seeking Students (Applicability: Online & Classroom Tuition):
Degree seeking students who complete an enrollment agreement or application should refer to the Degree catalog for refund policies.
Online Tuition (Applicability: Non-Degree Online Courses):
Refunds requested for online courses that have not been completed: Students who purchase an online class may cancel within 30 calendar days after the date of enrollment.

Bookstore Refund Policy
Any unused item purchased in a Hondros College Bookstore may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The item and all included materials must be returned in the original packaging, in original condition, and must be accompanied by an original receipt. Any credit card refunds will be credited to the card used to make the purchase within three (3) days. Refunds for purchases originally paid for with cash or check will be issued by check from the Hondros College corporate office within 30 days.

Weather & Site Closure Policies
Inclement Weather Policy
When the county in which we are located declares a Level 3 Emergency, classes will be postponed to a later date.
In the event that the county from which you are traveling declares a Level 3 Emergency and we are holding classes, please follow the advisory for your county. Please call us to reschedule your classes for a later date.
Please watch your local weather report for the most up to date conditions and advisories.
Hondros College encourages all students to consider their personal safety before making the decision to travel to class during severe weather conditions. If you are not comfortable driving to class, please know that Hondros College will work with you to complete the education you need to start your new career! We will work hard to be as flexible as possible in assisting you in rescheduling your classes.
