  1. Steps to Licensure
    1. Register for and complete the required 24 hour classroom pre-licensing education at Hondros College.
    2. Complete Civilian Background Check through National Background Check, Inc .
    3. Submit application and fees to the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions. Instructions for completion and fee information can be found on the application. Application can be downloaded from the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions: www.com.state.oh.us/dfi/
    4. The Division will review your application and determine your eligibility to test and will notify Prometric . Prometric will then send you a Candidate Information Bulletin which will have an examination Notice of Eligibility on the back page.

    Testing Dates and Locations

    You may test at any Prometric center across the United States. A complete list of testing centers is available by calling (800) 894 - 9965 or by visiting Prometric's Web site at www.prometric.com .

    Scheduling your Exam

    After receiving your Examination Eligibility from Prometric, you may register for and schedule your exam by calling Prometric at (800) 894 - 9965 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday - Friday. Or, you may register for and schedule your exam online by going to www.prometric.com and selecting "For Test Takers."
