Jessica & Nikki Hillman
I felt like I owed it to myself to go back to school and accomplish my goals. I made excuses for years, but I finally came to Hondros College of Nursing. And I brought my mom with me! We both graduated the Practical Nursing program, and now we’re in the Associate Degree in Nursing program. I am so happy.
Hondros offered a flexible schedule with day and night classes. I pursued Hondros for my ADN because of my good experience I had with the PN program and the relationships I have with my instructors. The staff here is very helpful!
Put school first! That is my big advice if you’re thinking about starting nursing school. There is never a “right time” to go to school. Just believe in yourself and go now! Also, don’t forget to study and respect your instructors. I have to have strict study habits to reach my goals.
I wanted to achieve a long-time goal of mine: to help people in need. That’s why I am in this. That’s why I am at Hondros College of Nursing.
Part of the reason why I decided to come to Hondros was because it is so close to home. The program allows you to balance home life, work, and school a bit easier than other programs I looked into.
If your heart is really set for it, and you are not afraid of hard work, go for it! It takes the ability to focus and make sacrifices, but you will be proud of yourself once you succeed. For me, I had to ignore comments from people who said I could not do it or asked me why I waited so long. I had to be strong even though some days I felt down. But here I am.
You may wonder if you can even do this, but one at a time, you knock it out. You got to want it! Before you know it, you will be at graduation.
