When I was growing up, my mom was in the hospital a lot. I remember always admiring how the nurses and doctors took care of her. I knew I wanted to help people in the same way. That’s why I chose Hondros College of Nursing.
I feel like being a nurse is such an important job because you are helping people who are helpless in those moments of need. I chose Hondros because of the flexible schedules and the starting period was almost immediate.
I wanted to jump right in, especially after my grandmother passed in June. One of her dreams, when she was younger, was to become a nurse. So, with my drive and ambition, I feel like I would make her proud by becoming a nurse.
The admissions team made everything super easy, and they were very helpful throughout the process. If you are thinking about starting nursing school, keep with it. Once you’re in classes, stay on top of your homework and studying. You can’t sit around and let things pile up.
It will be hard and challenging but with determination and consistency, everything will be worth it.
