I decided to pursue nursing as a career when my grandmother's health started to decline. I knew I not only wanted to help her, I wanted to help others and their loved ones in times of such vulnerability.
I made the choice to begin my nursing career at Hondros College of Nursing because a friend of mine was enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at the West Chester campus. We were on the phone and she was raving about how much she enjoyed the flexible hours of the class schedule. I did a little research, and with no wait list to start the program, I applied and began right away.
To someone who is on the fence about going back to nursing school, I would say do it! Nursing school will be hard and stressful, but 100 percent worth every second of time and energy. If you make that jump, you must be ready to make school and your education your number one priority.
