I recently retired from my job where I worked for more than 25 years! After spending a summer enjoying “retirement,” I realized I have more to do, more to give. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse, to serve others and have a meaningful career.
I decided to attend Hondros College of Nursing because I loved the small campus feel and the admissions people were so helpful. I actually came to HCN for the first time with my son (he was considering nursing), and I fell in love with the people and the place.
Nursing school is a lot of hard work so be prepared! But it’s so worth it. It may not always make sense in the beginning, but hang in there. It will all come together. Try to pick up good study habits and study hard! Utilize all the technology available to you, join study groups and spend time with student tutors.
I am very thankful for the professors at HCN. They genuinely care about the students and their success. I am also very thankful for my peer/student family here at HCN.
