When I was just four years old, I spent weeks in the pediatric ward. The nurses there were wonderful. They even made me paper nurse caps! I dreamt of growing up and being like them.
I started my family early and then started working as a medical assistant. I worked my way up and became a certified cardiovascular technician. But even then, I still wanted to become a nurse. After my father passed away last year, I decided it was time for me to go back to school.
It had been a long time since I was in school so I looked for something close to home and a little less traditional. That’s when I found Hondros College of Nursing. I kept hearing and seeing ads about Hondros so I decided to check it out. The people in the office were so friendly and kind.
If you are thinking about nursing school, it’s never too late! I committed to my goals and my desire to make my father proud, and I’m so glad I did. Take it from me. I am a student by day, mother and grandmother by night. If you don’t start, you can’t finish!
