I decided to pursue nursing as a career because I love to care for others. My grandma was a nurse, and I admired her. She set an example of caring and hard work. My hope is to carry on her legacy. My goal is to work in oncology once I complete school for my Associate of Applied Science in Nursing.

I chose to attend Hondros College of Nursing for the Practical Nursing program, and am now pursuing my ADN here too. I wanted to start working in the nursing field as soon as I could. The focused approach of the courses at Hondros made that possible.

The advice I would give to someone who is thinking about nursing school is to believe in yourself. It is hard and you will have many ups and downs. Don’t forget why you are doing this and be proud you took the steps to achieve your goal. In order to reach my goals, I had to stay focused, prioritize, and commit a lot of time to studying. The friendships I have built at Hondros will last a lifetime.
