Dani May

I have a degree in Respiratory Therapy, and I wanted to pursue my Associate Degree in Nursing to expand my career options. I enjoy making a difference in peoples’ lives, and being a nurse allows me to work with all types of patients. The nursing profession will continue to challenge me and expand my knowledge as a healthcare professional.

I chose Hondros College of Nursing because they recognized my first degree and accepted me as a direct entry student for the ADN program. This allows me to focus on learning nursing rather than having to take all the extra classes that other schools make you do. I also know of two people who are successful nurses who graduated from Hondros!

If you are interested in becoming a nurse, go for it! I held myself back a long time thinking I could not work in healthcare; however, being in school has opened me up to things that I did not think were possible for myself. I have become a strong student who enjoys learning and is eager to succeed. Time management, studying and organizational skills are key to exceling in school.

My advice for nursing school is to surround yourself with people who will support you and push you to be better so you can succeed. At Hondros, I have the greatest group of people. We are there for one another no matter what grade, mood, or ups and downs any one of us may face. I would not be where I am without “my people!”
