I knew that I have always wanted to help people. I have worked in law enforcement, corrections and the department of natural resources. Healthcare was a natural choice for me as well. I wanted a fulfilling career that will make my children and me proud. I would love to work as a flight nurse, midwife or CRNA so I can help people during integral moments in their life.

My mother attended Hondros College of Nursing and graduated from both the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing programs. I knew from watching my mother what to expect and understood how time consuming yet rewarding nursing school would be.

If you are thinking about nursing school, I would say start now. Do not wait on your goals. You are not too busy, too old, too young, too far, or whatever. In the time it takes you to finish your nursing degree, whether it be exactly on time or take twice as long, use that time to grow. You only regret the chances you did not take.

Tenacity is key for nursing school. Hondros’ programs are meant to challenge you. It is not easy, but you can do this. Nothing is impossible. Once you have the opportunity to begin school, YOU control the effort you put into it.
