HCN Success Stories
As a registered nurse for the last 8 years, my background encompasses progressive/intermediate care, critical care, and travel nursing. My love of nursing has turned into a passion for nursing education. I have had the privilege of educating practical nursing students in clinical, lab, and lecture. To me, I find that bringing humor and energy into the classroom has allowed my lessons to not only resonate with students but also allows students to connect with me and each other. While having fun, I prioritize student success and maintain a role of advocacy and mentorship throughout their time at Hondros College of Nursing.

Nursing school takes focus, determination, and accountability. You don’t need to know nursing information just for tests; you need to know it for the rest of your nursing career. As a nursing instructor, I have been through nursing school and empathize that it’s challenging. If I had to offer advice, it would be to come to class prepared by completing your readings and to actively engage in the learning process. Don’t let nursing school “happen to you”, take control of your own education and your own future. I promise the work is worth it.

When not inspiring the next generation of nurses, Allie can be found doing various outdoor activities with her husband and dog.
