HCN Success Stories

With over 11 years of nursing experience, my journey has been shaped primarily in the fields of mental health and pediatrics, mainly in the area of female adolescent psychiatric care—a realm where compassion, patience, and keen observation are essential tools. My years on the floors and in therapeutic units have taught me that nursing transcends charts and procedures; it’s about building trust, nurturing resilience, and fostering hope in those navigating some of life’s most challenging chapters.

My passion for psychiatric nursing naturally evolved into a calling for education. I’ve had the honor of guiding and mentoring nursing students at Hondros College of Nursing in the clinical environments, and I look forward to expanding my presence into the lab and the classroom as my skills grow. I believe that genuine engagement, encouragement, and practical wisdom are as vital in teaching as they are in patient care. My goal is to create an atmosphere where curiosity is celebrated and every student feels empowered to ask questions and grow—not just as nurses but as empathetic professionals.

Success in nursing school requires more than just intellect—it calls for commitment, adaptability, and a willingness to learn from both triumphs and setbacks. My advice? Be present, embrace the challenges, and remember that every lesson shapes the kind of nurse you will become. Know when to speak up and when to stay silent, lean into the hard days, support one another, and never lose sight of the profound impact you can make.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with family and friends or exploring new worlds, whether virtually on the computer or while camping or finding new areas to expand my knowledge.  I’m grateful to share my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of nurses at Hondros College of Nursing, and I’m committed to helping each student discover their own unique potential on this rewarding path.
