HCN Success Stories

My name is Jill Neifer, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported my dream of becoming a nurse educator. It is truly an honor to guide and mentor the next generation of nurses in both the “art and science” of nursing. Innovation and implementation are essential for the continued success of any organization, and we achieve this through collaboration—working together intellectually—along with active listening and respectful dialogue.

Partnering with patients, families, colleagues, and the community is vital and requires recognizing and valuing what each person brings to the table. By fostering advocacy and reverse mentoring, we can connect with the next generation of nurses and develop meaningful solutions to address some of healthcare’s most significant challenges.

Currently, I teach in the Associate Degree Program at the Dayton Campus, focusing on nursing fundamentals, addressing nurse burnout and resilience, and collaborating with the student success center to support our students. Outside of work, I enjoy sharing meals with loved ones, reading, journaling, listening to music/podcasts, and volunteering.
