HCN Success Stories

I've always wanted to be a nurse; this career field has been a goal of mine since I was 16 years old. However, my dream was put on hold when I decided on another profession. When I turned 45 years old, I chose to follow my childhood dreams and enroll in nursing school.

I came across Hondros College of Nursing from a friend's recommendation. They had previously graduated from their PN program and encouraged me to enroll. I have since graduated from their PN program, and now I am a student of their ADN program. To be successful, I had to adapt to "tunnel vision" and keep my eyes on the prize at all times. Occasionally, I would have to miss family functions to study or attend class, but it all paid off in the end.

To those considering nursing or the healthcare field in general, my advice would be to do it! This field is very rewarding; you have the opportunity to learn something new daily while helping others. The best way to reach your goals is to start by taking that first step.
