I love helping students achieve their goals. My pathway to Hondros College of Nursing started with a passion for education. Prior to becoming the campus manager of our Columbus site, I worked for a college readiness program that assisted first-generation college students with the ins and outs of post-secondary life. I love that my role at Hondros allows me to continue assisting students in achieving their full potential. My favorite part of working for Hondros is witnessing our students walk the stage on commencement day. As a member of our operations team, I see how hard our students work, from day one in admissions, to their exit HESI, so seeing them have their celebratory moment in front of family and friends helps reinforce why we all do what we do every day.
As campus manager I lead the student services team, coordinate several student-centered events, and process students who re-enroll at the college. My job is to keep the student experience positive beyond the classroom. This entails making sure our student service coordinators are accessible to our students and knowledgeable about what our students need. I also partner closely with many other operations departments, such as admissions, financial aid, the registrar, career services, and IT to make sure that the student services team makes students feel supported from application to graduation.
My best tip for students is to never lose sight of what brought you to nursing school. Every applicant comes here with a 'why.' If you remember who or what motivated you to start your nursing education journey, it will help you persevere through the program.
In my free time you'd most likely find me playing my guitars, attending live sporting events, spoiling my pets, or knitting/crocheting.
