I have always been drawn to being a source of support, knowledge, and comfort for others during their most vulnerable times. I want to make a difference.
My mother-in-law attended Hondros College of Nursing's PN program. She said nothing but good things about the college, so I figured it was the right fit for me! I graduated from their PN program last April and took 3 months off before going back for my ADN.
To reach my goals, I stayed focused, worked hard, and didn't give up when things got tough. I managed my time well, stayed organized, and asked for help when I needed it.
If you're thinking about going into healthcare, my advice is to always remember why you want to do it. School can be difficult, but if you truly care about helping people, it will all be worth it. Most importantly, take care of yourself as you can't help others if you're worn out. I'd say go in with an open mind and a big heart. It's not always easy, but the work you do truly matters.
