HCN Success Stories

I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse so I could help people through their most vulnerable times. I view this as an honor. I gained vast amounts of knowledge and experience while being a certified medical assistant for almost 13 years. While caring for my various patients, I found I wanted more out of my career. During those moments I knew that my purpose in life was to further my education and become a nurse.

Attending nursing school at Hondros College of Nursing was the best choice for my family and me. I could work during the day and still be a mom. Then I could achieve my dream of becoming a nurse with night classes, making this the perfect choice for me.

The best advice I can give someone thinking about becoming a nurse is that you always must maintain empathy for your patients, no matter how big or small the problem may be. A small thing could change a patient's whole day while in your care. Nursing school is not easy, but if you put in the time and effort needed, you will be grateful you took this journey to help save lives and make a difference.
