My journey into nursing is deeply rooted in the legacy of strong, determined women. My grandmother became a Registered Nurse after raising seven children—a powerful example of resilience and purpose. Though she was already ill when she pursued her degree and passed away while I was still young, her courage left a lasting impression on me. She showed me that it’s never too late to follow your calling, and that caring for others is one of life’s most meaningful contributions.
Today, as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I have the privilege of teaching at Hondros College of Nursing, where I work to inspire the next generation of nurses with both knowledge and compassion. My professional experience, coupled with personal life lessons, has taught me that nursing is more than a skillset—it is a mindset grounded in empathy, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility.
My family has always been my anchor. My parents have supported every step of my journey with encouragement and belief in my potential. My husband of over 30 years and our two sons motivate me every day to keep growing. I understand the pressure many of our students face—juggling school, work, and family—because I’m living it myself. I’m currently pursuing an advanced degree, and I bring that perspective into my teaching, offering both challenge and understanding in the classroom.
At Hondros College of Nursing, I strive to model what it means to be a reflective, confident, and patient-centered nurse. I want my students to feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise—whether they’re starting fresh or returning after life has taken them in other directions. Nursing is a calling that demands dedication, but it also gives back in profound ways.
It is my honor to teach, mentor, and walk alongside future nurses as they discover their own stories—because every great nurse starts with a strong reason why.
