I have been in the Information technology field for about four years now, with three and a half of those being here with Hondros College of Nursing. I like to think Hondros took a chance on me as someone who was still new to the IT field. One thing I love about my job is the direct impact I feel I have on my community and those around me. I see how much work our students put in to get where they want to be, and even go through different types of adversities. So, being someone who can help however I can to ease the stress of nursing school when it comes to technology makes me take pride in my work.
IT can be broad, and there are many specific paths one could take. Here at Hondros, I get a feel and work on many different parts to get a better understanding of myself and to see what I truly enjoy in the field. I also feel very empowered by those around me, as they allow and encourage me to better myself professionally and personally. Being part of the growth of the campus and seeing the numbers now from where we started has also been a cool feeling and, in a way, has reflected my own growth.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, whether that is just spending time around the house and playing video games, going out and traveling the world, or just being at home tinkering with various projects I have.
