I decided to pursue nursing because I received firsthand experience in caring for a family member with a head injury. This showed me that I have the compassion it takes to care for others. I've been a CNA for a little over a decade now, and I believe I am ready to advance in my career as a nurse.
I pursued Hondros College of Nursing because of a post I saw on Facebook about an Ohio-based nursing college coming to Michigan. Once I saw this, I decided to investigate the college. It turned out their location was perfect for me.
To those considering nursing school, do not wait. There is no perfect time to start, just go for it! Be sure to practice time management and discipline. These are two main behaviors that I had to work on and continue to improve.
